But I'm still an optomist (sounds better than a fool), so I let her pick out some fabric for this year's dress. I've got my fingers crossed that she'll actually wear it. But even if she doesn't I won't give it away this year. My youngest daughter (almost 2) is much easier to please. Hopefully I'll actually get to take photos of them wearing them together.
Nicey Jane Easter Dresses |
How about a quick give-away? I made an impulse buy at the grocery store the other day, the lastest issue of quilty magazine. As a full disclaimer - I've already read it - but I thought somebody else might like to read it too. It's in very good shape, I promise. And if you leave a comment, and tell me your favourite colour, I'll include a fat quarter or two with the magazine.
Leave a comment and I'll send you this magazine. |
How about you? Are you sewing Easter Dresses this year?

I would love to take a look! I love green :) And I am so impressed that you are making Easter dresses! My 4 year old asked me to make here a dress recently. I might have to one day but she is super picky!
Hi Barb. That looks like a fun magazine. I don't really see many quilt magazines but really enjoy them. My favorite color is turquoise! The girls geranium dresses are going to be very cute.
I love that quilt on the front of the magazine. Thanks for the chance win! My favorite color is pink!
Sometimes you just can't win!!! I hope she will be happier with her Easter dress this year. I love the fabrics - Nicey Jane???? The green is also my favorite color so those fabrics would be perfect for a dress for me!! I'll wear it if she won't. LOL
Is it a bad mommy moment? Isn't it good to teach consequences? I think you did right - and I think she'll think twice about your handmade offerings in the future ;)
no Easter dresses... my cat doesn't wear them LOL! I haven't seen that magazine before so it would be great to win... and my favourite colour is chocolate brown, but really, anything would be lovely lol...
I would love the magazine, and green is my favorite colour (although I already have plenty, so probably something low volume would be better).
No Easter dresses this year, but I have got in the tradition of making Easter softies for everyone, so I have four bunnies (one zombie, one scary / angry and two whatever I want) to make.
No Easter dresses.,.. girls have enough clothes!
I don't think that's a Bad Mommy moment at all, actually! Maybe I'm too hard-core? Anyhoo, I am loving purple right now and I would be more than happy to take that gently pre-read magazine off your hands! Thanks for the giveaway!
It is a good way to recycle magazines. I bought that one too when I was away last week. I usually don't buy magazines anymore. But I was on vacation. I should gift them to someone. You have inspired me to do that. Easter dresses....on a side note. I think I'll put up my dresses quilt this week to celebrate the dress season.
Good luck with the Easter dresses, Barb! I look forward to seeing a photo of the finished projects on your girls! I wish I was sewing Easter dresses for my girls since at ages two and six, they're still young enough for me to get them into Mama-made clothes.
Thanks for the chance at the magazine! The colour I'd like to receive would be pink since my pink selection is limited.
Happy Easter!
Don't they know that's why we have little girls......so we can make them dresses and play 'dress up' !
I'll take that magazine and pass it on again probably ! Thanks for the chance at it. Have a great Easter !
my fave is orange!!!!
Hi! I have nominated you for a Liebster award for great, small blogs! I hope you'll check out my post and join in the fun!
