Happy 2011!

Christmas holidays are pretty much over for us now...hubby is back to work today, and I go back to teaching tomorrow afternoon. Today is going to be a day filled with crossing things off lists...take down tree...buy thread...send thank yous...work on UFOs....

2010 turned out to be a year of small projects for me. I only finished one lap quilt, started too many other quilts, and made lots of small things.

I've decided that 2011 will be a year of finishing UFOs. I've even started quilting a giant queen-sized quilt that I've had hanging around since 2004 or 2005. I'm hoping that getting some things finished will help me to enjoy quilting more as I won't have so many things hanging over my head.

I've also decided to join Angela's Fabric Diet. Have you seen this yet? 8 weeks of no fabric buying...it is something I wanted to do anyway, but this should help me keep up with it. I'm actually a very competitive person.

Unfortunately, I already need to buy some more Kona White so I can work on my colour wheel quilt. But I'm okay with that...I really, really want to finish this one soon.

So happy New Year to you and yours. What are your goals for 2011?

I'm with you - this year is all about finishing UFOs. Here's the plan - bring out one UFO on the 1st of the month with the goal being to finish it by the end of the month. This will give me lots of time to finish the project and still be able to work on other things, too!

Lots of goals this year, if not "resolutions." :) Sewing one project a week, re-learning to knit. Blogging more. I'm also hosting a crafty goals linkup at http://www.lindsaysews.com/2010/12/craft-2010-year-in-review.html for anyone who'd like to join

I have decided not to have any goals this year. Ok, that isn't really true, I am just not setting myself up for a lot of failed resolutions . . . hoping to move out of state soon, so that can be a big enough goal for now!

All of your projects are lovely!

Last year I planned a fabric diet. I didn't do well, sorta like my real life food diet. But it never hurts to keep trying. So I'm not saying I won't buy anything, but I'm trimming the fat so to speak! Love the mash up of projects.

I have a stack of UFO's to finish and I tend to take on too many projects at once! So I do get things done, just not at a quick pace! I think it is quilter's add!lol...

There's no way I can go on a fabric diet! I've already spent a fortune on new year fabric. Naughty me.
